CBD Is Alright With Me

By now you’ve probably come across someone who’s repping CBD oil and talking about all of it’s amazing benefits.

But do you actually know what it is and how it can help you?

Yeah, first things first: it won’t get you high.

CBD doesn’t have any THC (the component that makes you feel reeeally good and/or paranoid if you were like me back in the day). It also doesn’t work the same.

Where products that contain CBD work slower in the body, those that contain THC work quicker, because it suppresses the pain receptors (for example the same way Tylenol or another pain medicine does) and it also works better chemically together.

A problem with CBD with THC is that it can also lower your immune system when ingested.

I wish I could speak more about that, but I am not an expert by any means, compared to the rest of my family! The reason why I am writing about CBD versus having you go to a dispensary, well, there are actually a few reasons.

First, dispensary have SOOOOOO many taxes that most people can’t afford buying THC products.

Second, with some THC products, there can be consequences — like the munchies.

Third, I am not someone that does well on THC and I know I am not the only one. I used to get paranoid when I attempted smoking when I was younger — I have been told that with all the knowledge that is out there now, it wouldn’t have the same effect on me — but I have been scarred!

Plus, smoking right now is SUCH a big NO NO!!

So what are some of the things CBD can help with?

Chronic Pain

A study from the Journal of Experimental Medicine showed that CBD has been shown to “reduce pain and inflammation,” and that people using it “were not likely to build up a tolerance.” The study showed that CBD and other cannabinoids could be used as helpful treatments in managing chronic pain. [1]

Anxiety

Healthline recently reported on the benefits of CBD for those suffering with anxiety, stating that “physiological symptoms of anxiety, such as increased heart rate,” had improved. The article also went on to share that “CBD may also benefit people with other forms of anxiety, such as social anxiety disorder (SAD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It may help treat anxiety-induced insomnia as well.” [2]

I have equated CBD as a supplement.

It takes some time to get in your system, but once it’s there, the benefits start to become apparent pretty quickly. As stated by the above references, CBD helps manage pain and aids with anxiety, and it also helps with digestion...as long as you take it everyday just like you would any supplement for it to be effective.

And right now, we could ALL use a boost, whether that’s mentally or physically.

What CBD products are out there? Shit, basically EVERYTHING and I feel like anything: creams, balms, soaps, food, supplements, oils, and more that feature CBD!

Have I jumped on the CBD bandwagon? YES! All supplements can cause an adverse effect, but not CBD. And the benefits! It truly is a “miracle” herb.

If you’re looking to try CBD for the first (or tenth) time with products that are high quality, natural, and actually work, LEEF Organics has you covered.

I LOOOOOOOVE LEEF Organics! (Check out their soap!!! Best soap EVER!! Why? Well, it’s cool looking. But seriously, I have had patients with eczema and acne clear up, and it makes your skin so soft!

And remember that your skin is your largest organ AND it’s your first line of defense against the exterior!

Ready to try a natural way to relieve your pain or stay sane during the coming weeks stuck at home?

Let’s chat!
